We’ve been selected as BMI’s Pick of the Month! BMI is presenting a showcase of the band at Rockwood Music Hall on Friday, January 6th at 9:30pm. We’re celebrating our first time back to Rockwood in almost a year – for us, it’s where it all began.

Brooklyn, we’re back, and we’re gonna get your holidays started right at Brooklyn Bowl on Friday, December 23rd. Greetings Party Fowls…

Welcome to our brand new website! We wanted to get it up and running as soon as we could, and we’ll be continually making improvements and adding new features as we go.

RIGHT NOW
There’s so much going on – we’re currently on the last leg of our 7 week national tour, and this week we’re touring as the opener for the Ryan Montbleau Band. Boy do we have some road stories for you — we have a whole backlog of Tour Blog entries to finish up and post to the site as soon as we catch our breath. We’re in Charleston, SC tonight, Charlotte, NC on Wednesday, Vienna, VA (outside of DC) on Thursday, and Philadelphia on Friday – if you’ve got friends in those towns, send em our way!

NEXT NYC SHOW
We’re also very excited to announce our next NYC show – Friday December 23 at BROOKLYN BOWL! Our last 2 shows in NYC have sold out, so we strongly recommend you grab your tickets in advance here. Also, our friends Tall Tall Trees are opening the night up. We’re looking forward to getting back in front of our hometown crowd. Come let us get you into the spirit of giving…

NEW YEAR’S EVE
We’re extremely pleased to announce we’ll be playing New Year’s Eve up in Stowe, VT at The Rusty Nail with our friends the Ryan Montbleau Band (sound familiar?). Outside it’ll be a snow-covered winter wonderland and inside we will be burning the place up with our music. Check out the venue’s website here for deals on lift tickets and hotel rooms too. Champagne toast and breakfast included – it’s a Party Fowl package deal!

NEW VIDEO
You can’t miss it – it’s right smack on the Home page of our website – but we have a new video of “Make It Rain” that was shot live at our show at Sullivan Hall in September. Our extremely talented friend and artist Jake Nelson put the whole thing together. You might also remember him as the one who painted our limited edition show posters and as the designer of our Dirty Bird logo. The man does it all!

There’s much more happening now that we’d love to tell you about, but duty calls – we must get back in the van and drive up to Charleston for tonight’s show.

Til next time,
SSDB

Awwwww yeah. Gather up your vibes and meet us there people, cuz we’re going be sending ours out.

The ol’ calendar is startin to get filled up, Birdwatchers. We just announced shows in the four cities above, and there’s lots more on the way. But first, you should know that you can get tickets to our next show at the Oneonta Theater on Friday, June 3 right now – 1 week before they get released to the general public. There’s only 180, so act fast.
