March 2: Arleigh Kincheloe, the front woman of the soul-funk act Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds, presides over eight musicians with smoldering intensity, and her body language is as sly and stirring as her bluesy voice. The backup players, all of whom are male and some of whom are related to her, deliver brass-heavy, jazzed-up grooves. The opening act, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, dishes out impeccable funk with a cheeky spin.
